Configure Nginx Proxy Manager

Create proxy hosts and HTTPS certificates for only the applications chosen for remote use.

  1. Open the Nginx Proxy Manager admin page

    Use the local server address on port 81.

  2. Create a proxy host

    Enter the DuckDNS domain, local application address and local port.

  3. Request an SSL certificate

    Enable the tested security options and agree to the certificate terms.

  4. Test locally and remotely

    Use mobile data for the remote test so the phone is genuinely outside the home network.
